SUPERthrive Grow™ vs Bloom™ – Which Should You Use?

Both SUPERthrive Grow™ 7-9-5 and Bloom™ 3-12-6 provide complete plant nutrition, but their different nutrient ratios allow you to tailor feeding to your plant's growth stage.

SUPERthrive Grow™ 7-9-5 – Active Growth

A great choice when your plants are actively producing new leaves, roots and shoots. Its higher nitrogen content supports healthy foliage, strong growth and overall plant development.

SUPERthrive Bloom™ 3-12-6 – Flowering & Fruiting

Designed for plants approaching or entering their flowering stage. Its higher phosphorus content supports flower and bud development, while supplying the nutrients required for continued plant health.

Do I need to alternate between Grow and Bloom?

Not necessarily! Both products can be used individually throughout the year.

However, many orchid enthusiasts prefer to use Grow during active vegetative growth, switch to Bloom as flower spikes or buds begin developing and return to Grow once flowering has finished.

For flowering plants, switching to Bloom before or at the beginning of the flowering stage allows the plant access to its flowering-focused nutrient profile.

Remember, fertiliser supports healthy flowering, but light, temperature, plant maturity and growing conditions all play important roles in when a plant will bloom.

How to Use

SUPERthrive Bloom™ is highly concentrated. Always dilute with water before application.

General Maintenance

Mix 1ml per 3 litres of water and apply with every watering. Ideal for light feeders, slower-growing plants or reduced feeding during cooler months.

Regular Feeding

Mix 1ml per 1.5 litres of water and apply with regular watering during active growth and flowering.

Outdoor Plants

Mix 1ml per 1.5 litres of water for regular feeding, or approximately 1.3ml per litre when feeding once or twice monthly.

Foliar Feeding

Mix 1ml per 1.5–3 litres of water and lightly spray foliage. Rinse foliage with fresh water the following day to remove mineral residues.

Bio Leaf Tip: Start with a weaker dilution for sensitive plants or those growing slowly. Adjust feeding according to plant requirements, growing conditions and the nutrients already present in your growing media.
