Introducing Bio Leaf's Limited Edition Chunky BioPon, a specially blended mineral substrate combining premium Bay of Plenty pumice (approximately 9–12mm) with blue zeolite (10–20mm).

Created for plant enthusiasts looking for a coarser alternative to traditional Pon, this two-component blend provides excellent drainage and aeration while offering moisture- and nutrient-retaining properties.

Our porous New Zealand pumice helps retain moisture within its structure, while the blue zeolite offers valuable cation exchange capacity (CEC), helping hold certain nutrients for plant uptake.

Unlike our traditional BioPon, which contains pumice, scoria and zeolite, this limited-edition blend features just two mineral ingredients, creating an attractive, extra-chunky substrate suited to established plants with larger root systems.

For semi-hydroponic systems, monitor moisture movement carefully, as larger particles may not wick water upwards as readily as finer-grade BioPon.

Provide a suitable complete liquid fertiliser, as Chunky BioPon contains no added nutrients.
