Here’s how you can build specialised blends with our base mix and Bio Leaf additions:
Terrarium Blend (Jewel Orchids, Fittonia & more):
2 parts base mix, 1 part scoria or pumice, 0.5 parts spag moss, worm castings & tree fern fibre
Moisture-Loving (Alocasia, Begonia & more):
6 parts base mix, 2 parts orchid bark, 1 part vermiculite, optional 1 part zeolite and 0.5 parts worm castings
Arid & Gritty (Cactus, Carnivorous & more):
2 parts base mix, 1 part sand, 1 part scoria or pumice, optional 1 part composted bark
Forest Floor (Ferns, Calathea & more):
2 parts base mix, 5 parts composted bark, 1 part orchid bark, 0.25 parts vermiculite
Aroid & Epiphyte (Hoya, Monstera, Anthurium & more):
1 part base mix, 2 parts orchid bark, 1 part pumice, 1 part tree fern fibre, 1 part coir chips
Vertical Pole - Climbing Extensions: 2 parts base mix, spag moss, orchid bark and coir chips, 1 part perlite
 
A Note for Beginners:
This mix is designed to give you flexibility—not all plants need the same nutrients or moisture levels. Because this is a fertiliser-free base, you’ll want to supplement with liquid or granular nutrients suited to your plant type.
